Josh Saunders AKA King Cobra JFS is a YouTube star; famous for his drink combinations, make-up tutorials, cooking skills, wand making, Chi sorcery, and a plethora of other talents; but most of all his musicianship and production wizardry serve as the backbone of the legend that is King Cobra JFS (formerly known as Gothic King Cobra). Be prepared to enter a world stranger than you have ever imagined. With this release King Cobra JFS invites us on a journey through the tortured mind of an artist, an artist struggling to create, straining to see in a dark place thick with suffering moans and tobacco smoke, the brain wrenching pain of a man struggling against evil spells and proper spelling. As the title implies, King Cobra is decent into madness if not excellent into madness and he holds back nothing in his multi-layered compositions that bring the listener deep into this madness within, in fact I dare any listener to not be mad after listening to this album, particularly if you paid for it, you will be furious. Not only will Rebirth of My Mind Decent into Madness make you angry, it will confuse you, it will amuse you, it will abuse you; it will also screw you out of nearly three hours of life and about ten bucks. If you are a fan of cacophonous combinations of Casio piano sounds, rhythm-less drums, layered tuneless synthesizer lines and lispy shrieking topped with discordant detached electric guitar recorded with a tin can this is the album for you. Even if these things sound too painful to believe, as King Cobra JFS often says and used as inspiration for the first track "Could Be Worse"; it could be worse. This is why we are looking forward to hearing more from Josh in the future, for those of us with faith in the phrase "could be worse" and looking forward to everything going to complete shit. We salute you King Cobra JFS.
